Zain 4G Review
A Week ago or 2 i was able to get my hands on from a company i know to test Zain 4G Network, When I first saw the router it self it looked kinda appealing and sleek but that is not really important whats important is how good is the net work.
Sadly I lost my speed test reports and pictures because I sold my old computer and lost most of my data, but back to the point of the review the download speed on this router ” with the service ” is nice but its not the best all of this hype over 4G is overkill the ping test ( or ms or latency ) was bad compared to my DSL ( Fiber optic also ) that is on 8MB of speed the upload speed on it as i remember was nice, but the biggest CON of this that is limited you have a download of 30 or 50GB or between those number, so I have to say that is just a bad limit zain gives the people a fast internet connection so they can limit them on the download ? thats just pointless I have to say and the price is kinda high.
The Good :
- Good and Decent download speed ” not the best “
- Nice Upload Speed
- Looks good when you have it on your desk
- decent from mid term online gaming
The Cons :
- Over priced
- It has a Download cap
- its not the best for hardcore gaming
- its expansive
- sometimes it loses signal
Overall the device is great and the network speed you get is nice IF you dont have DSL or Fiber optic in your house, IF your looking to get a device to download media or games and so on, I highly suggest you don’t get this and get Mada wireless connection because it offers a nice speed with out a download cap, but again if you have DSL or fiber optic please do not think that 4G is faster and more stable than DSL and fiber optic connections these connection are way better than that, BUT if you need it for gaming and you don’t have DSL or fiber then get this its better for gaming then Mada, and Again its to over priced.

Friends, this Zain 4G internet is fine in terms of speed. But please be aware that their unlimited plan is a cheating. In Unlimited plan they have a fare usage policy acording to which you cannot use more than 40 GB data per month. If you exceed the limit, your internet will slow down to .06MBPs and you have to wait till next month to get normal speed or you have to recharge your SIM.
I don’t know why ZAIN call this unlimited. Either they don’t know the meaning of “unlimited” or they want to mislead and trap people.
The worst part is their customer service. If you call customer service for checking about any plan or service, they simply directs you to website. On the website they just have one or two lines about different plans. They will never explain you about “fare usage policy” or any other catches in thier plan.
Also you cannot find any option for Technical support on thier IVR when you call them. If somehow you manage to speak to some customer care reps. you will bang your head and get frustrated as they are most dumb people you will find on earth.
I am totally exhausted and disgusted by ZAIN Internet service. So I am switching back to STC.

Ya that’s the Big Let DOWN of Zain and all Kuwait Wireless internet such as Viva and Watanyia they lie and say they are unlimited but they are !
I don’t have anything to disagree with you but to say that we are kinda forced to use these services from time to time
