Today I want to review a shipping company called PostaPlus that I got interested in coz of their low prices so I signed-up with them for 7 KD lifetime subscription.
I made my first order on 17/1/2013 from amazon, and it was the Elgato HD Game Capture that I ordered. I chose a FREE 2-Day shipping since I got a prime trial subscription from amazon for 1-month. Amazon did their job perfectly using USPS it arrived to my box in ONE DAY on Friday 18/1 since they hate to ship on Saturdays.
Now comes Posta’s turn for the tracking history but …. their website is misleading and buggy, the main page has TWO sign-in links, one for (MyBox) the other for customers. They only sent me the username & pass for the (MyBox) link so I checked it but it only sends me back to the home page. I called them explaining my problem they replied : “Didn’t you receive an email containing your customer log-in details?” told them no so they asked for my email and told me they’ll send it but they didn’t, called them again later and gave them my email AGAIN to send me the email, guess what? CORRECT!! THEY DIDN’T …. called them next day and oh boy ….. TURNED OUT THEY WROTE MY EMAIL WRONG!! … so finally I was able to get my details to log-in but I didn’t find my order to track it. I phoned them to check whats wrong and I told them that I wrote my account number in address line 2 when I ordered from amazon as the instructions says on my card I received. But again they SHOCKED with their reply saying (no, you should have written it before your name and because of that we may not know for whom the package is for.) wow, most interesting … anyway the girl on phone said (ok I’ll send an email right away). Next day I could see my shipment on their site but after waiting for FOUR DAYS since it arrived to mybox. So I waited till thursday 31/1 which means today to finally get my hands on my shipment after an exact wait of (14 days) since I confirmed my amazon order. My shipment stayed in customs till it was released on the third day evening (yesterday, and I got an SMS saying that my shipment of 1 KG has arrived costing me 4.500 KD for weight and 1.500 KD for customs and it will be scheduled for delivery) but it was just delivered today to my doorstep. I payed 6 KD total, signed twice and handled the package which was nicely packaged by USPS put in a cover bag by PostaPlus. Oh and I should note that they didn’t call me before the delivery as they said which isn’t good, but good thing I was in home after just getting back from college. ”
- Low price.
- SMS containing details of shipment when it arrives at the facility.
- Bad customer service.
- Misleading info on card.
- Misleading and Buggy site. ( I still can’t update my email which is written wrong )
Overall it seems that their cons are a lot comparing to their positives, the funny thing its not only him it happened to a lot of other people due to their bad customer service + their website, but also their are some people who like it, but it seems that a lot of people are not satisfied with their services and tend to pay for little more for a better service, as for me I have not orderd anything yet but i’ll be trying another shipping service soon and to choose overall whats the fastest cheapest and with the best customer service.
