So the Leap Motion is a small device (about the size of your thumb) that is basically a motion sensing device (like the Xbox kinect) which you plug in your PC and use it as controller for support programs like Google earth.
This small device has a considerably big sensor area (hoping im saying this right) where i can use it with comfort without having to position myself in a really bad and awkward way to use it, and the device is incredibly accurate when good programming is presented, and i say good programming because most of the apps that i have tried is not that optimized for the leap motion device, for example i used i was playing one of the games they have in their “AirSpace Store” (a store with apps for this device, like the apple app store) and it was incredibly accurate! i would position my hand/finger in anyway i would like and it would imitate it in the game and would respond to it in an accurate way, on the other hand there is a alot of software/games in the store that is not accurate at all and would sometimes take my control of the software and make it uncontrollable.
I think the Leap Motion is an amazing device and a device that’s not 500$ (somewhere between 80$ to 110$ depending on seller) and it’s innovative, but i think buying one now won’t do you much except playing with new technology because at the moment there isn’t that many programs/software that is really optimized and/or useful for your everyday life, i would give it a year or something if you want to get it and hopefully by then there is much more optimized apps.
